Regh Violins was founded by the renowned expert violin maker Joseph Regh, who apprenticed with John and Zoltan Toth and established his atelier in 1974. Regh served as vice president of the Violin Society of America, was a member of the Board of Directors and served many other international institutions in the world of stringed instruments and published books and other publications on violin restoration.

Regh Violins has branches in Albany, Wappingers Fall and Poughkeepsie, New York, and offers a selection of interesting antique and contemporary instruments for sale and for rental. Luthier services including restoration are available at the ateliers in Wappingers Fall and Poughkeepsie.

Edward R. Curtz worked for Lawrence Lamay before he studied violin making at the London College of Furniture under Patricia Naismith. He opened his Kingston atelier in 1978 and builds after classical Italian models by Stradivari and Guarneri.

Stamell Stringed Instruments provides violins, violas, cellos and basses, a wide range of accessories, rental offers and luthier services to musicians of all grades and owners of stringed instruments, including appraisals and insurance valuations.

The atelier in Amherst, MA was opened in 1989 by Matt Stamell, and since 2008 all services are available in New York through the Poughkeepsie branch.
